We are surrounded by stress.  Every.  Single.  Day.  

There is no shortage of advice on the internet for how to manage stress. It seems like it should be easy, right?

 

Except there is no one-size-fits-all approach to stress management, no matter what the internet says. Choosing what techniques you should try, what works, and what doesn’t usually creates more stress.

 

Working with the right clinician, you’ll find the most effective techniques for you. You’ll create new communication patterns, set boundaries, find the right way to say, “No, thank you,” develop mindfulness skills, and create new norms in your relationships. By understanding your needs and circumstances, you’ll recognize the thoughts causing your stress, enabling you to change your behavior and implement the right strategies for you.

 

And once you know what works for you and why, stress becomes something you manage instead of something that manages you.
