Trauma-Informed Education: Effective Strategies for Educators
Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy can be an exceptionally useful tool for treating a variety of mental, as well as physical, health conditions. For example, it has been used in the treatment of:
-
Anxiety
-
Depression
-
Phobias and fears
-
Chronic pain
-
Insomnia
-
Smoking-cessation
-
Weight release
-
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
-
Trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
During hypnotherapy, a qualified, appropriately trained, and experienced clinician guides you through a voluntary state of relaxed and focused attention that can help you make positive changes in your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. You remain in control of your thoughts and actions throughout the session, and are still able to hear and respond to the therapist’s suggestions. You are also free to reject those suggestions, if you’re not comfortable with them.
This therapeutic technique can be used on its own or in combination with other forms of therapy, like cognitive behavioral therapy or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. Hypnotherapy is an extremely effective means for moving through and beyond the obstacles that keep you from creating the life you want.
